Your challenge
As a consultant V&M, you divide your time and attention between:
- Assist clients with their improvement projects within our core knowledge domains of Safety & Environment. After analyzing customer needs &challenges, you propose adequate solutions that you co-direct and implement yourself, together with your colleagues.
- Providing information transfer. Based on your expertise and didactic skills, you look for the right channels to sensitize the client’s employees. In doing so, you will conduct customized toolbox meetings, workshops and information sessions.
- Gain, develop and share knowledge both internally and externally to become an expert in your field.
Your profile and talents
You have at least an academic bachelor’s degree in business, supplemented by the Level 2 Prevention Advisor diploma. You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in an industrial environment.
Knowledge of and experience with a safety management system (ISO 45001) is an important competency. Preferably you have a valid VCA certificate. Do you have an Environmental Coordinator B degree on top of that? Totally awesome!
You are a “people person” and a team player: transferring knowledge to others energizes you, active listening and empathizing with customers’ situations are your second nature.
You are Dutch-speaking, with a good base of French and English.
So you combine your communicative, commercial and technical qualities to produce efficient and targeted results. You can work both independently and in a team, with a sense of responsibility, and drive for the profession, the customer and your colleagues.

Some of your duties include
- You verify that safety requirements and regulations are followed.
- You will support our clients for elaboration and improvement of prevention policy and prevention plan.
- You will conduct studies to improve the well-being of their employees.
- You will analyze work accidents, environmental incidents, complaints and prepare a plan of action.
- You pursue preventive improvement actions based on systematic analyses on the shop floor.
- You will organize internal training in first aid, fire, safety and welfare.
- You will coordinate evacuation drills and keep the various emergency plans up-to-date.
- You have experience with a safety management system.
- You monitor changes, recommend adjustments and perform commissioning of new installations within the organization.
- You advise clients on workplace hygiene.
- You closely follow the latest safety trends.
- You have experience in consulting with unions and CPBW on safety issues.
- You will sensitize employees and help build an internal safety culture.
- You sensitize workers to the proper use of personal protective equipment.
